SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Sandra Loraine Harvell, age 51, of 262 Edgar Lane in Sandersville, died Sunday, January 27 in the Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 2 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. Mrs. Harvell was a native of Corbin, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Elsie Rickerson Harvell. She was a former Military Policeman with the U.S. Army and received the Adjutant of the Year award during her military service. She was a student at Georgia College and State University majoring in art and psychology. She was an artist, business woman, and homemaker. Mrs. Harvell was a member of the Alph Rho Tao Honor Society at Georgia College and State University, the Disabled American Veterans and the Am Vets Post #110. Survivors are her husband, Darryl Richardson of Sandersville; a daughter, Tanya Harvell Jenkins of Sandersville; her father, Clyde Preston Harvell of Sandersville; a sister, Latitia Holland of Wrightsville; and a niece, Angelica Holland of Wrightsville.
