AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Trinity Hospital, Mr. Thomas Byron Leopard, Sr., "Big T" 58, husband of Patricia Evans Leopard. Mr. Leopard was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He was retired as an International Technical Representative for Club Car. Mr. Leopard was an auto racing enthusiast and eventually owned and drove his own race car. He was an accomplished guitarist and the official entertainer for the family that he loved so much. He was a member and past Exalted Ruler of the Augusta Elks Lodge #205, the CSRA Holiday Ramblers and St. Mary on-the-Hill Catholic Church. Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: Thomas B. Leopard, Jr. and wife Stephanie, Jordan E. Leopard; daughters: Carol L. Scharff and husband Matthew, Karen L. Pemberton and husband David; brothers: James E. Gay and wife Paula, Matthew D. Gay and wife Angela; 4 grandchildren (soon to be 6): Zackary Pemberton, Tess Leopard, Walker Scharff, Stella Leopard and several loved nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 1, 2008 at St. Mary on-the-Hill Catholic Church at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Brian LaBurt celebrant. Honorary pallbearers will be Louis "Hap" Harris, Horace Duncan, Terry Still, Jim Hutchinson, Sammy O'Banion, Buddy Whittington, Jerry Tuten, Charles "Buck" Clements, David Scharff and David "Z" Brooks.
