AUGUSTA - Heather Moriah Mills and Weston Robert Hammond, both of Martinez, are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Zayne Steele, born January 2, 2008 at Trinity Hospital in Augusta.

He made his debut at 5:26 p.m., weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz. and was 21 inches long. Proud grandparents are Casey and Martha Mills and Scott and Debbie Hammond, all of Martinez. He was welcomed home by his uncle, Jacob Michael Mills, 9.
