GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Miriam Phillips Landry, of Inglett Drive, in Grovetown, died on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at her home. She was the wife of Mr. Joseph R. Landry, Sr. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at The Poteet Funeral Homes, West Chapel, 3686 Wheeler Road, 706-860-0009. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 470 N. Louisville Street, Harlem, 706-556-3877. Bishop Jason Claar will officiate. Committal services will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Landry is survived by her husband, Joseph R. Landry Sr.; three sons, Dwight Hobbs, Donald Inglett, Ronald Inglett; her daughter, Connie J. Acord; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Saddie Willoford, Lonice Goodwin, Mamilee Hymas, Eulaween Barney, and Betty Jo Mcleod. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Broadnax. Pallbearers are Troy James Rollins, Ashley Cooper, Robert Landry, Joe Landry Jr., Shane Matthews, and John Lackes. Mrs. Landry was retired from the Richmond County School Board as a bus driver. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The family requests that memorials be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 470 N. Louisville Street, Harlem.
