EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Essie Lee Turner Christie, 95, wife of the late Henry Bell Christie, died Monday, January 21, 2008 in Columbia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home with burial at Eastview Cemetery. Mrs. Christie was a native of Edgefield County. She attended Edgefield Church of God and was a homemaker. Survivors: one daughter, Evelyn Minor, of Columbia; three grandchildren, five great-grands, three great-great-grands; and a number of nieces and nephews.
