AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, January 20, 2008, Mrs. Evelyn Hitt Beall, wife of the late Louis Franklin Beall, Jr. and daughter to the late Lloyd Francis Hitt and Eva Ruth Watson Hitt. Mrs. Beall was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a manager for the operating services of Bell South and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Summerville-Augusta Exchangetts and the Valley Park Garden Club. Mrs. Beall was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta. Family members include her sisters, Thelma Hitt Keith of Augusta, Shirley Hitt Foster of Hephzibah; sister-in-law, Marjorie Beall Bartlett of Augusta; mother-in-law, Catherine H. Beall of Augusta; 5 nieces; 2 nephews; 14 great nephews; 12 great grandnephews and 6 great grandnieces. Mrs. Beall was preceded in death by her brother, Lloyd Francis Hitt, Jr.; and father- in-law, Louis F. Beall, Sr. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Rodger Murchison officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Augusta, 3500 Walton Way, Augusta, Ga. 30909.
