EVANS, Ga. - Mr. Mark Edward Wahman, beloved husband of Mrs. Cheryl L. Wahman, entered into rest on Friday, January 18, 2008 at University Hospital. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 21, 2008 at St. Teresa of Avila at 4921 Columbia Road, Evans, GA. with The Reverend Michael Roverse officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Additional survivors include; three sons, Christopher Michael Wahman and his wife Sheila of Evans, GA., Erik Joseph Wahman and his wife Lisa of Evans, GA., and Mark E. Wahman of the Dominican Republic; his daughter Amy Elizabeth Wahman Bird and her husband James of Orlando, FL.; one brother Joseph L. Wahman of Seattle, WA, and one sister Stephanie Mitschlen of Sawyer, MI; nine grandchildren; Denise, Trey, Alexandr, Joseph, Michael, Jacob, Adelle, Sarah, and Madison. A native of Hartford City, IN., Mr. Wahman was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and a graduate of Purdue University and served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was General Manager and a Consultant of Garnment Company in the Dominican Republic. Mr. Wahman retired to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and papa. Active pallbearers will be; James Mitschelen, Stephen Siebert, Donald Siebert, John Dewes, Ryan Dewes and Alexandr Wahman and a honorary pallbearer will be Gary Kalil. The family would like to thank the staff on floor 10 Oncology at University Hospital for their compassion and care. A vigil for the deceased will be prayed at 5:30 pm with visitation following from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at the funeral home. Platt's Funeral Home, 337 N.
