CHAPIN, S.C. - A memorial service for Byron T. "B.T." Bussey, Jr., 76, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials for B. T. Bussey may be made to C. M. Tucker Nursing Care Center, Volunteer Services, % Maria Burrera, 2200 Harden Street, Columbia, SC 29203. Mr. Bussey, born in Edgefield County, June 27, 1931, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2008. He was the son of the late Byron T. Bussey, Sr. and Jessie Lee Prince. Mr. Bussey was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Prosperity. He worked for DuPont and Westinghouse and retired from Savannah River Site after 43 years. Mr. Bussey is survived by his wife, Marie Black Bussey of Chapin; daughter, Beth Long of Norman, OK; sons, Timothy Bussey (Robin) of Charleston and Michael Bussey of Gulfport, MS; grandchildren, Sonya Green of Georgetown, TX and Michael R. Bussey of Gulfport, MS; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Bussey of Gulfport, MS; sisters, Vonnie Gentry and Sylvia Mixon of Wagoner, SC.
