AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into eternal rest with her Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Mrs. Ida Elizabeth Kucela, beloved wife of the late Edward Stanley Kucela of Augusta. Mrs. Kucela is survived by her sons; John Kucela and wife Cindy of Grovetown, GA, Rudy Kucela and wife Vicki of North Augusta, SC, Edward S. Kucela, Jr. and wife Lisa of Warrenville, SC, Rudolf Deckert of Germany; one daughter, Ethel Barron and husband Thomas of North Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Michelle Ford, Kayla Kucela, Jamie Smith, Lindsey Kucela, Joshua Kucela, Paul Widener; great-grandchild, Garrison Ford; sisters, Martha Rottmann and Irma Hamann both of Germany; brother, Edward Fleckenstein also of Germany. She was preceded in death by son; Paul Edward Kucela and brother; Rudolph Fleckenstein of Germany. Mrs. Kucela retired from Murray Biscuit Company after 20 years of service. She also worked for the Green Meadows Golf Course for a number of years. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Her life was spent caring for her family. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Eisenhower Medical Center for their loving care given to Ida throughout the years. Mrs. Kucela was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 14, 2007, 1:00 PM in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Larry Harmon, Rev. Paul Widener and Rev. Father "T" officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Gardens immediately following the service. Pallbearers are Arthur Bostrom, Curtis Julian, John Creager, Joshua Kucela, Phillip Ford and Paul Widener.
