The president of HNA is a white dude? Wow, I never would have guessed that. 90% of Harrisburg is black folks. Why would a white guy be in charge of representing them?

And why not? Are we not all the same? Do you believe the white man can't possibly listen to and help a neighborhood as a whole? Sounds a tad bit prejudiced.....

Have you all never heard of AUCTIONS??? And you wonder why people in Gilburt manor are still in the projects??? When will you wake up!

Laff, it's Mrs. Crawford. Your numbers are way off, there are alot of white folks in Harrisburg. Part of the problem in Harrisburg is section 8 housing. There are alot of them. The rent is a sure thing. Nothing like a government check on time every month. Your right Honest what has code enforment been doing all this time?

I have a rent house in harrisburg. I dont fix up the outside because I dont want my tenants to get robbed. Inside It looks like a brand new home. There needs to be more police presence. You see kids 10 and 12 running around at one in the morning all the time looking for trouble.

The tax payers need to fund the hiring of officers. With higher pay comes a much more caring officer. Not that the officers they have are not caring they are just spread too thinly. Also people need to have incentive to care for themselves and not depend on others just because they are in public housing. When one cares enough to take care of their own circumstances instead of sitting around all day watching the trash pile up then neighborhoods reap the rewards. Kinda of like being poor but always able to stay clean. Been there folks have a small amount of pride for your area. Also the churches need to take a greater interest in the area. One church has already pulled out for the most part due to finding a better location. All that has done was leave a vacant hole in the area where crime is left unchecked and a general attitude of "who really cares for us when the churches leave"

The kroc center will help alot. All the old houses will be demolished in the future. And replace with some type of newer residential. Such as townhomes, condos, or others. The kroc center is supposed to cost over 100 million. But yeah there are alot of whites in harrisburg. Especially alot of white prositutes, and hookers. But i supect that all this will be clean up. With the arrival of the kroc center. This is a very exciting time to be in augusta. We have some major projects that are about to start this year.

The gang activity might have increased. But i think by 100% is your stats not reality stats. Augusta was ranked behind macon, savannah, atlanta, and columbus. In violent crime. In gang acitivity has increased 100%. That means more killings would have put us over the top of savannha, macon , or columbus. You would suspect atlanta because of the population. But the rest higher than augusta. Thats what i mean i laugh at augusta who thinks it has major city crime. No it doesn't it just has big town crime.

well that may be but if you happen to live down in that area and the violence has affected you the difference between big town and big city crime doesn't mean a hill of beans when it gets right down to it.

Tear down houses ? They should start by moving out the rif raff. Mercy Ministries is ho bo haven. Mercy Ministries is located in the middle of a neighborhood. It is not fair to the property owners who have to deal with them. Take care of that situation and maybe private investment will come forth for the area. No one wants to live around that kind of thing.
