AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Maritza McMican Lloyd of Saratoga Ct. died on January 6, 2008 at Eisenhower Medical Center. She was 50 years old. A Rosary Service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michaels Church at Fort Gordon. Rev. David Arnoldt and George Foster will officiate. Committal services will follow in the family plot at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mrs. Lloyd is survived by her husband, Mr. Frank Lloyd; her mother, Norma D' Alba of Massachusetts; her daughter, Thania Frances Lloyd of Augusta; her sons, Ronald Steven Comiska of Massachusetts and Steven Ronald Comiska of Texas; her sisters, Norma Sumter and Rosa Hudson, both of Augusta; her brother, Alberto McMican of Massachusetts; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lloyd was a member of St. Michaels Church at Ft. Gordon and the Military Council of Catholic Women. She was preceded in death by her father Melchor Alba. Mrs. Lloyd was the assistant director at A Child's World. The Poteet Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, 706-798-8886 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
