AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Christine A. Everingham, an Augusta resident since 2004, died on Monday, January 7, 2007. She was 90 years old. Mrs. Everingham was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Clarksville, Arkansas. Mrs. Everingham is survived by her sons, Roy Everingham and his wife, Sandra, of Evans and David Everingham of Rincon, Georgia; her grandchildren, Stacy Gooden, Todd Tillman, Kimberly Simmons, David Everingham, Christy Suits, and Paul Everingham; nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Everingham Sr. in 1996, her daughter, LeRene Tillman; her great-grandson, Derrick Freeman. Prior to her retirement, she was a cafeteria manager in the Ventura County California School System. Mrs. Everingham formed a profound bond with the students in her school, even learning sign language to better communicate with them. After her retirement, she was a 'volunteer grandmother' in the Clarksville, Arkansas School System. Mrs. Everingham was Presbyterian.
