MURRELLS INLET, S.C. - Mrs. Alice Frances Rawls Huiet, age 88, of 825 Flicker Place, Murrells Inlet, S.C., formerly of Bamberg, S.C., widow of William "Bill" C. Huiet, Sr., passed away January 7, 2008 in Murrells Inlet, S.C. Mrs. Huiet was born June 3, 1919 in Johnston, S.C., Edgefield County, a daughter of the late William A. Rawls and the late Eula Berry Rawls. She graduated from Johnston High School in 1936. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Bamberg. She retired in 1982 with 30 years of service from Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS). She was a past Worthy Matron, member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bamberg Chapter, charter member of the Dirt Dabblers Garden Club, inactive member of the Camellia Garden Club, Sim Folk Circle, and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors are two children, Sara Frances Way of Murrells Inlet, S.C. and William "Billy" Huiet of Wilmington, N.C.; grandson, Austin C. Way of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Kathleen Timmerman Knowles of Edgefield, Willie Mae and husband Jack Matheny of Johnston. Mrs. Huiet was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Richard D. Way, III; and a sister, Grace W. Mobley. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 11761 Heritage Hwy., Bamberg, S.C. with burial at Harmony United Methodist Church, 98 Bouknight Rd., Johnston, S.C. at 3 p.m. Pallbearers will be Huiet England, Rawl Timmerman, Robert Timmerman, Jr., William Matheny, Marvin Zeigler and Bruce Watson. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 9, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at Cooner Funeral Home, 287 McGee St., Bamberg, S.C.
