A free biblical prophecy conference with the Rev. David Levy, the director of International Ministries for the Friends of Israel, will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, 10:30 a.m. Jan. 12, and 8:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 13 at Westside Baptist Church, 261 Flowing Wells Road, Martinez. Sunday school

Augusta Jewish Community Sunday school will resume with a Welcome Back Breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Adas Yeshurun Synagogue, 935 Johns Road.

First Sunday

Macedonia Baptist Church will hold its First Sunday of the New Year service at 10 a.m. at Bell Auditorium. No other service will be held.

Sower celebration

Michael Guido, the Sower from Metter, Ga., will be the guest speaker at 10 a.m. Sunday at the sixth anniversary service of Bible Fellowship Church, in Belair Conference Center. The event celebrates Mr. Guido's turning 93 this month and will feature music by the Byrd Family.

Epiphany service

A Lessons and Carols for Epiphany festival service will be held during 11 a.m. worship Sunday at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2261 Walton Way. The service will include music by the Chancel Choir, Master's Ringers, Children's Choirs, Chamber Orchestra, and lessons and carols associated with Epiphany and Communion.

Bible study

Registration for Augusta School of Biblical Studies classes will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Westside Baptist Church, 261 Flowing Wells Road, Martinez. Classes offered are Biblical Principles of Teaching the Bible and Biblical Ethics and will start Jan. 14. Call (706) 284-3569 or visit www.asbs-augusta.com.

Church lends hand

Bible Deliverance Temple, with the help of outreach ministries and Golden Harvest Food Bank, distributed more than 21,000 pounds of food and served more than 11,000 meals in 2007.

The Fenwick Street church also provided clothing for 1,490 people, meals for more than 50 senior citizens monthly, Christmas presents to 500 children, Christmas packages of full-course meals for seven to 22 families, and housing for one family and eight individuals.

The church regularly works with churches and organizations to help the less fortunate.
