No. 9 Baylor rolls past Texas State

WACO, Texas --- Rachel Allison had 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead No. 9 Baylor to an 84-57 win over Texas State on Friday night.

Angela Tisdale added 19 points, Jessica Morrow 12 and Jhasmin Player 11 for Baylor (12-1).

Victoria Davis and Tamarra Evans-Sluga each scored 13 for Texas State (6-7) and Joyce Ekworomadu had 10 points.

Tisdale converted a three-point play and made two more free throws and Morrow hit a 3-pointer to stretch Baylor's two-point lead into a 35-25 advantage with 3:10 left in the first half.

NO. 16 TEXAS 91, TEXAS-PAN AMERICAN 43

In Austin, Texas, Ashley Lindsey scored 11 of her 13 points in the first half to lead the Longhorns in a rout.

Texas (12-2) extended its winning streak to 10 games for the first time since taking 17 in a row in 2003-04.

LeKeisha Gray scored 21 points to lead the Broncos (8-8).

Texas point guard Carla Cortijo injured her left shoulder early in the first half and left the game for X-rays. Her status will not be known until today.

NO. 23 COLORADO 65, PEPPERDINE 53

In Boulder, Colo, Jackie McFarland had 19 points and eight rebounds to help Colorado win its 10th in a row.

Bianca Smith added 18 points and Brittany Spears had 16 for Colorado (11-2) which is off to its best start since beginning the 2003-04 season 12-1. The Buffaloes begin their Big 12 season Wednesday against Missouri.

Daphanie Kennedy led Pepperdine (5-8) with 15 points.
