Army Lt. Col. Michele Goddette , professor of military science at Augusta State University, has been selected for promotion to colonel.

Dean's list

Leanna E. Jones , of Augusta, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 term at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Tifton, Ga.

Gets certified

Travaras Turner , of Augusta, is now a certified highway emergency response operator for the Georgia Department of Transportation's Incident Management Unit.

Citizen of the year

James Ronald Davis , a native of Augusta, has been named Citizen of the Year for 2007 by Smyrna Division of the Cobb chamber of commerce.
