MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mr. John Kenneth Michaels entered into rest Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the residence, the son of Mrs. Marie Michaels. Other family members are one brother, Ronnie G. Michaels and his wife, Susan, Martinez; one niece, Brooke M. Wenzel, Lawrenceville, Ga.; three nephews, Aaron L. Michaels, Norcross, Ga., Chris R. Michaels, Augusta, and Blake Michaels, Martinez; and one great-nephew, Everett J. Wenzel. John was preceded in death by his father, Ernest J. Michaels; his brothers, Timothy P. Michaels, Jerry J. Michaels, Terry J. Michaels, and Wayne B. Michaels; and his grandparents, Jim and Elma Newman and George and Alice Michaels. Mr. Michaels was born in the Panama Canal Zone and was a member of Faith Memorial Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with Rev. Michael Davenport officiating. Mr. Michaels will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Ed Grealish, Robert Nelson, Thomas Thigpen, Mike Hanley, Daniel Hammonds, and Hugh Ginn. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez. Florist Deadline: Wednesday, 5 p.m.
