APPLING, Ga. - Mr. Lemuel E. Farley, 73, husband of Mrs. Billie Jean Farley, entered into rest December 31, 2007, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2008, in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, near Grovetown, Ga., with the Rev. John Prater officiating. Mr. Farley, a native of Ellison, West Virginia, had retired from Civil Service as lineman and was an Army veteran. He was a former employee of Bargain Barn of Grovetown and enjoyed hunting and farming. Survivors include his wife Billie Jean Lane Farley; one son, Jerry (Shelby) Farley; one daughter Kathy (David) Ham, all of Appling; five sisters, Melva (Eddie) Calee, Denwiddle, Va., Pauline Lilly, Nadine (Pat) Bragg, Linda (Eli) Nixon, of Coolridge, West Virginia, Thelma (Ray) Simons, China Grove, North Carolina; four brothers, Leslie (Lola) Farley, Coolridge, West Virginia, Chester (Brenda) Farley, Kenneth (Gale) Farley, McRae Farley, of Shady Springs, West Virginia; grandchildren, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Farley, Jamie Farley, Jody Farley, Tyler Sparks, Mason Sparks, and David Ham, Jr.; and one great-grandchild Aaron Farley. Pallbearers will be Gerald Baxley, Paul Lowe, Jimmy Young, Ben McDaniel, Trevon Wheeless and Mike Anderson. If so desired, memorials may be the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Memorial Program, 510 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
