AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Chalker, age 94 born in Vidette, Georgia entered into rest Sunday, December 30, 2007. She was preceded in death by her second husband J. D. Chalker, her first husband Ralph L. McDaniel and son Jack E. McDaniel. She had lived in Augusta, GA for 53 years. Mrs. Chalker retired from G. S. S. H. with 20 years service. After retirement she did private duty nursing. She was a member of Mann Memorial United Methodist Church for 53 years. Mrs. Chalker is survived by one sister, Mrs. Frances Irby, Augusta, GA; two sons, Ronald L. McDaniel, Augusta, GA; R. Allan McDaniel, Raleigh, N.C.; 5 granddaughters, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Mann Memorial United Methodist Church, Friday, January 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Bob Hoeller and Reverend Roger Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 3, 2008 between 6-8 p.m. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel.
