Commons shot 7-for-14 from the field and 6-for-6 from the foul line. He added a team-high 11 rebounds and three blocks in 39 minutes.
Kingsley Oguchi added 18 points for USC Aiken. Cordaryl Ballard and Job Casimir each chipped in with 13.
USC Aiken shot 45 percent from the field, including a 10-for-32 effort from beyond the arc. The Pacers also shot 15 of 18 from the foul line (83 percent).
The Pacers led by 10 at halftime. Flagler (6-4) pulled within four with 4:38 remaining. But USC Aiken responded with a 17-4 run to close the game.
TAMPA 89, NO. 12 AUGUSTA STATE 75
In Tampa, Fla., Tyrekus Bowman scored a season-high 32 points but it wasn't enough for No. 13 Augusta State in a loss to Tampa.
The senior forward shot 14-for-26 from the field and added 15 rebounds and two blocks. Junior center Garret Siler posted 15 points and 13 boards despite being in foul trouble most of the contest.
Sophomore guard Ben Madgen had his worst shooting night of the season. He was 3-for-19 from the field, including a 2-for-8 performance from the perimeter, for 13 points.
Tampa (7-2) took advantage of its advantage at the free-throw line, connecting on 38 of 47 shots. Augusta State (6-3) shot 12-for-20 from the line.
The Jaguars overcame a 16-point halftime deficit to lead by as many as five on a Siler dunk and free-throw with 7:22 remaining. The Spartans responded with a 27-8 run to end the game.
VALDOSTA STATE WOMEN 78, PAINE 56
In Valdosta, Ga., the Lady Lions shot 38 percent from the field and fell to the Lady Blazers.
Paine senior guard Chantal Murray posted a team-high 19 points on 9-for-14 shooting. The Lady Lions fell to 1-6.
Valdosta State (12-1) shot 52 percent from the field.
GEORGIA TECH WOMEN 57, CHICAGO STATE 31
In Atlanta, Alex Montgomery scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Yellow Jackets to the victory.
Montgomery, a freshman who scored in double-figures for the third consecutive game, made a layup with 16:22 left in the first half to spark a 19-2 run over a 10 minute span for the Yellow Jackets (10-1).
Chioma Nnamaka made three 3-pointers during the stretch.
