Watch out, here they come again! Bill and Hillary Clinton, the aging hippie couple, spawn of the counterculture revolution, seeks another opportunity to satisfy their insatiable lust for power. Should they fail in this endeavor, I have no doubt they will evoke the "vast right-wing conspiracy" as the cause!
During the recent visit of Sen. Hillary Clinton to the area, the local news media went out of their way to show their adulation. They in fact gave her a political gift when they virtually ran campaign commercials for her on the news. The way her visit should have been portrayed is this: "The wife of serial philanderer and felon Bill Clinton made a local appearance to promote herself and socialism. A devout believer in the philosophies of Karl Marx, she promises to save the world from the evil United States after her coronation."
She and her husband once again would bring a proven record of corruption and sleaze to the presidency. The subject of many allegations of nefarious activity during their administration, she accomplished nothing of consequence as first lady or senator. Her mendacity, ability to dissemble and lack of charm are legendary. With her stealth health plan, she secretly attempted to purloin one-seventh of the economy from the private sector to the government. That is the sum of her experience, and thankfully she failed at that.
You see in this couple a mirror image of the modern Democratic Party. Arrogance, scandal, corruption, greed, opportunism, self-gratification and the control of every aspect of our lives by the government -- with them in charge! These things are all OK with the Democrats. They are rÃsumÃ-enhancers to them! That's exactly who they are and what they stand for.

Dead on. However, there are enough people in this country whose only criteria for President is the one that promises to give them the most stuff; free health care, housing, whatever. Hillary fits that bill perfectly.

Communism is a form of socialism so she fits the communist bill. I don't think she should be allowed to run because her husband was president-what if she is just a puppet for Bill. Dang all we need is another Bush brother or Clinton spouse or child as president. I am ready for some new blood and new ideas. Hillary doesn't have anything new.

All you have to do is to look at Hillary's voting record in the Senate to make your decision. She is 100% for granting amnesty to Illegal Aliens, and stuck her foot in her mouth when she agreed with the Governor of New york who wanted to give a driver's license to any Illegal Alien that wanted one. Or Cheney saying he does not have to comply with an executive order because the VP isn't part of the Executive or Legislative branch of government? And Mr. Smock also says, the Clinton's were "The subject of many allegations...". And yes, they were just that, unsubstantiated, unproven allegations. The Clinton administration was the most investigated in the history of our nation, yet the only thing the very partisan, conservative "Independent" (and I say that loosely) Counsel Kenneth Starr could charge either with was President Clinton's lying about an extramarital consensual sexual affair. Had there been one iota of evidence the Clinton's were guilty of anything else they would have most certainly been charged! Remember the Congress at that time was controlled by Republicans out for blood. Could this administration stand up to the same amount of investigation? I seriously doubt it!

The Clintons got away with a lot because of timing, shenanigans, and LUCK. They are equally as corrupt as others mentioned here. Hillary is definitely a socialist, Bill is more moderate and a heck of a lot smarter than she is. She can assimilate a lot of facts quickly, but she can't herself convert them to ideas or concepts. Might just explain why being a trial lawyer was not her forte and why she hasn't gotten anything major introduced and passed as a Senator. She is at her best supporting the guys with the ideas, not coming up with them herself. And she is no leader. And grouse, I don't consider her much of a woman either.
charlieonce..We only need to compare Hillary with the other "hopefuls" the rest doesn't matter. Are "The neocons" whoever that might be running for president this term? It won't be too bad to have 2 Presidents at one time, we will have lots to talk about, even complain about President Bill and President Hillary. Fun is coming. Hillary voted for the war because they knew the situation in Iraq even better than the incoming group. 8 years against a few months for Bush. I'm just about fed up with the whole thing. There's inevitably going to be shady goings-on behind any administration; this one was just blatant about it, and happened to defecate all over the Constitution in the process. The presidency is a figurehead posistion anyway...if you want to debate, take a look at potential cabinet members.
I haven't seen any mention of the OPINION piece by Jay Abrams, page 5A of the AC today. He gives us plenty to think about, especially the actions of some that we have kind of forgotten about with our short term memories.
Actually polls the last seven years indicate that from 25 to as high as 40% of those polled are in favor of unrestricted abortion. In all the polls the majority believe that rape or mother's health should be the major factor, and most want restrictions.

The rapes, the pardons of cash, the insider stock deals, the looting of the White House, the selling our nation's security to the Chinese and South Koreans, and what many Americans don't know about "the Arkansas prisoner's tainted blood for money scandal" that infected hundreds of thousands of hemophiliacs with AIDS... How much more is America supposed to ignore with these two?

There's a lot of people who are calling the Clinton's sleaze, well watch out for the Guiliani's. The man everyone calls "American's mayor" was cheating on his wife with his current wife Judith. I guess Smock wants this as a first lady. He used NYPD officers to chaperone his girlfriend around town as if she was a V.I.P. on the taxpayers dime. He announced his divorce on NY television before he told his wife and kids. What a gentlemen as I said if you think the Clintons are sleazy look into this candidates background.
