- Club Car Inc. has extended its Premier Partner sponsorship of the National Golf Course Owners Association. The multiyear sponsorship will allow the company to continue providing products and services that support the growth of the game and the success of members' businesses.

- Kent Dunn , the vice president and market manager of Beasley Broadcast Group Inc.'s nine-station cluster in Augusta, was named by trade publication Radio Ink as one of the Best Managers in Radio in the small-market category.

- James L. Whitehead has been appointed by Gov. Sonny Perdue as an at-large representative for the state Department of Corrections. Mr. Whitehead is the owner of Jim Whitehead Tire Service Inc. and served as a state senator for District 24 from 2005-07.

- Maria Vaill and Larry Ramsey , sales associates for Century 21 Larry Miller Realty, have received the Global Referral Network specialist professional designation from Century 21 for completing a series of performance development courses offered through the Century 21 Learning System training program. Ms Vaill also received the CSRA Home Connections Agent of the Month award in November for being the top referral source of preferred providers for her real estate clients.

- Frank Mears , the education director of Meybohm Realtors, has received the 2007 Georgia Educator of the Year award from the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association for contributions to real estate sales at the national and international levels.

- MAU Inc. has been ranked No. 29 on the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce's Big 50 list that was published in the November issue of the chamber's South Carolina Business magazine. The list ranks year-over-year progress for private, public and foreign-affiliated companies. The human resources and staffing firm has several locations in South Carolina and last year was ranked No. 40 on the list.

- John T. Chandler was the top mortgage producer at Georgia Bank & Trust Co. in November.
