NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Robert Bailey Crawford, Sr. entered into rest Tuesday, December 11, 2007 in University Hospital. Family members are mother, Frances Boswell McRory, Martinez; one son, Robert Bailey Crawford, Jr., Evans; one daughter, Rhonda Crawford Cogburn, North Augusta; three brothers, Jimmy Crawford, Martinez, Cooper Cliatt, Lincolnton, Ga., and Ronnie McRory, Lincolnton, Ga.; two sisters, Marilee Stewart, Appling, Ga. and Emiree Beason, Martinez; his fiance, Pattie Hamilton Shirey, North Augusta and her children, Ashley, Sara, Katy, Joseph, Amy, and Allison and grandchildren, Ethan and Faith; three grandchildren, Franklin and Paige Cogburn and Kristine Cogburn; his companion, G.T.; and his many friends and neighbors. Mr. Crawford was born in Appling, Ga., a retired Human Resources Manager with Proctor and Gamble, a U.S. Navy Veteran, member of Abilene Baptist Church, member of Junior Achievement and Safe Homes. He was a chairman of River Race Augusta; he won several speed records with the A.P.B.A. and N.O.A. He was a devote Georgia Tech fan especially following Georgia Tech Basketball. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert C. Rayner and Rev. Alan Faulkner officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Johnny Weathers, Pierce Blanchard, Jr., Jerry Carter, Sam Sibley, Dale Duvall, and Larry Siciliano. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Bateman, Nick Shaw, Mike Malone, and Dr. Ralph Walker. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. John Hudson and Dr. John Atkins and the nursing staff on 10 West, University Hospital. Thomas L.
