AIKEN, S.C. - Mr. Joseph Cook, 56, of 999 Old Jordon Rd., entered into rest December 1, 2007 at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Cook was a member of Union Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Survivors include three daughters, Angela (Steven) Oliphant, Columbia, S.C., Linda Cook, Raleigh, N.C., and Josey Cook, New Ellenton; one son, Joe Cook, Edgefield; seven sisters, Martha Williams, Trenton, Rose (Willie) Mathis, Amanda (Roland) Gaskin, both of North Augusta, Janice (Jerome) Smith, Batesburg, Surrilla Broadwater, Mary (William) Tyler, both of Aiken, and Yvonne Cook, Lake Ridge, Va.; five brothers, Johnnie (Annette) Cook, Ridge Spring, James (Tira) Cook, Bennie (Inez) Cook, both of Batesburg, Willie (Pam) Cook, Aiken, and Robert (Shawn) Cook, Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren; aunt, Louise Clanton, Edgefield; and a host of other relatives.
