MANNING, S.C. --- A 68-year-old man who was burned in an explosion at a fireworks stand has died from his injuries.
Clarendon County Coroner Hayes Samuels said Alton "Bubba" Bozeman of Manning died Friday at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital of Augusta.
Mr. Bozeman was working at his son's fireworks and Christmas tree stand when the explosion and fire happened Thursday afternoon. He was the only person hurt.
Union teenager is killed in exchange of gunfire
UNION, S.C. --- Investigators think a teenager found shot to death in the front yard of a Union home was killed during a gun battle involving a large group of people.
Union Public Safety director Sam White says 18-year-old Quentin Dean Jeter of Union died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. A 9 mm handgun was found near his body and 22 shell casings were found in the area.
Man killed by fire in Atlanta guest house
ATLANTA --- Authorities are investigating the cause of a deadly house fire that killed a man in his southwest Atlanta home.
The blaze broke out just after 7 p.m. Saturday in the guest home behind a house. Firefighters say they found a man dead inside the burning structure, which had no working smoke alarms. The identity of the man, who is believed to be in his mid-40s, was not released.
