American Bass Anglers

American Bass Anglers is the largest tournament trail for the tournament angler and has more than 116 districts offering 1,000 tournaments throughout the U.S. Membership is open to anyone 16 and over not a professional fisherman or guide. Bass Tournament

It will run through Feb. 16. The tournament's Classic will be held on Feb. 23. This week's tournament will go out of the Lake Springs ramp. Entry fee is $33 per team, $30 for individuals. Each team member must fish at least five tournaments to qualify for the Classic entry fee of $50. Non-qualifiers must pay a $500 entry fee. The big fish must be 6-1/.2 pounds or larger. Wildwood Bassmasters

Nov. 9 results

Majors Hamby, 19 pounds, 8 ounces. Ron Kettler, 12 pounds, 2 ounces. Ray Denton, 9 pounds, 6 ounces. Big fish: Hamby, 6 pounds, 2 ounces. Twenty bass weighing 50 pounds, 6 ounces were caught and all were released alive.

Oct. 6 results

Ray Denton, 12 pounds, 2 ounces. Bobby Awad, 9 pounds, 10 ounces. Ray Diamond, 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Twenty-five bass weighing 43 pounds, 3 ounces were caught and all were released alive.

John Hammett, five bass, 7.40 pounds. Jerry Barber, five bass, 7.10 pounds. Ronnie Scott, five bass, 7.05 pounds. Big fish: Jim Conley, 2.90 pounds. Fifteen fishermen caught 50 bass weighing 69.95 pounds.

David Matthews, 10.8 pounds. Tom Randall, 9.10 pounds. Ed Rice, 7.9 pounds. Big fish: Randall, 4.10 pounds. Eleven fishermen caught 51 bass weighing 84 pounds.

Fort Gordon Sportsman's Club

Next tournament: Feb. 24, bass tournament.

Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per non-member, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place. Registration is with the club prior to the tournament or 30 minutes before the event's start. State licenses and Fort Gordon fishing permits required.
