AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Trinity Hospital, Mr. Byron A. Hatney, affectionately known as "Bhat", son of Reverend Dr. and Mrs. J. R. Hatney, was born August 2, 1970 in Waukegan, Illinois. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Johnny R. Hatney and Reverend Dr. Johnny L. Hampton officiating. Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Byron A. Hatney Scholarship Fund c/o Wachovia Bank, 699 Broad Street, 1st Floor, Augusta, GA 30901. His memories will be cherished by his parents; sister, Taura; maternal grandfather, Reverend J. S. Wright; paternal grandparents, Gracie (Leroy) Washington; a host of aunts, uncles, two godchildren; a very devoted friend and soulmate, Afuah Payton, Philadelphia, PA; cousins, relatives and friends.
