AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Kathleen Duncan, 87, entered into rest on Monday, November 5, 2007 at Trinity Hospital of Augusta. Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Mann Memorial United Methodist Church, 2705 Milledgeville Road, with Reverend Orin Sampson officiating. Interment will follow in the Dearing Cemetery, Dearing, Georgia. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Duncan was a member of the Mann Memorial United Methodist Church and the Edwards Sunday School Class. She had retired as the Head Nurse from the Uptown Division of the Veteran's Administration. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wheatley B. Duncan; her parents, Freeman S. and Lena Prescott Rodgers; brothers, Stuart Rodgers and Prescott Rodgers; and a sister, Mary Rodgers. Survivors include sons, Byron Duncan and wife Estelle and Keith Duncan, all of Augusta; daughters, Sheryl Werrick and Marcia Golden, both of Martinez; one brother, Edgar Rodgers of McBean, Ga.; 9 grandchildren, Sean Duncan, Matthew Duncan, Megan Duncan, Katie Werrick, Tyler Werrick, Michael Werrick, Ryan Golden and wife Amy, Brandon Golden, and Sara Golden; and 2 great-grandchildren, Landon Golden and Kayleigh Golden. The family received friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Platt's Crawford Avenue.
