EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Marie M. "Sissy" Simons, wife of the late Mr. Leonard Simons, entered into rest on Monday, November 5, 2007. Funeral services will be held 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road Chapel with Pastor Chuck Moon of Marvin United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends until 8:30 p.m. following the service. Interment will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Westview Cemetery, Thomson, Ga. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne T. and Ron Carter; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Brenda Taylor; father, Paul Myers; sisters, Sally M. Aenchbacher and Dotty Watkins; father-in-law, Thad Simons; grandchildren, Wesley Taylor, Seth and Hollie Carter; several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Myers; brother, Charles Myers; and mother-in-law, Betty Simons.
