GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest Monday, November 5, 2007, Mr. William C. "Bill" Walker, of Graniteville, S.C., loving husband of Kathryn Woodward Walker and son of the late Quiller Walker and the late Ruby Barker Walker. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Charles Walker, Tim Wertz, and Greg Wertz; daughters, Martha Walker, Cindy Walker, and Karen Leopard; and six grandchildren. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Graniteville, S.C. He was a Retired Architect with Meybolm Associates. He graduated from Clemson in 1960. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served his country during the Cuban Crisis. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Graniteville. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Puckett officiating. The interment will follow in the Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials in Mr. Walker's honor be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Columbia, S.C. 29204.
