AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Select Specialty Hospital, Mrs. Frances Ann Hamilton, 74, wife of the late James William Hamilton. Mrs. Hamilton was a native and life long resident of Augusta. She graduated from Mount Saint Joseph High School and the University Hospital X-Ray Technician School and was the first Radiology Technician in Augusta. She retired from Eugene Talmadge Memorial Hospital. She was a founding and active member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and a loving mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Family members include her daughter, Judy Harden of Thomasville, Ga., Dotty Edmondson of Augusta, Terry Beardsley of Pennsylvania; son, Mike Hamilton of Evans; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Lee, Doris Witfield, and Marianna Smith. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 12:00 noon at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Grovetown, with Fr. Michael Roverse and David Koetter, celebrants. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Rd., Grovetown, Ga. 30813. The Vigil for the Deceased will be held Monday, November 5, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, Ga.
