AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Hilda C. Pittman, 72, entered into rest Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Trinity Hospital. Memorial services will be held Monday, October 15, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Al Kurtz officiating. Mrs. Pittman was a native of Evans County, Georgia and had lived in Augusta since 1958. She was a very caring and loving person who always thought of others first. She is preceded in death by her Parents Alvin and Malissia Cooper and her brother Curtis Cooper. Survivors include; two sons Chris Douglas Pittman of Hephzibah, Chester W. Pittman of Mitchell, Ga. One daughter, Pamela Pittman Coleman of Hephzibah, four sisters, Edna Hix, of Rome, Ga,, Jeanette Walling of Jesup, Ga., Alice Waters of Claxton, Ga. And Ava Nell McGlashen of Glennville, Ga. And nine grandchildren, Robert Herndon, Jason Coleman, Michelle Usry, William Usry, Robert Bridges, Angelica Pittman, Chasity Thomas, Miranda Pittman , Ariel Pittman and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association 2050 Walton Way, Ste. 208, Augusta, Ga. 30904. Friends may call at the residence of her son at 1120 A Hephzibah-McBean Rd., Hephzibah, Ga. 30815. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
