Henry Wynn III is in almost as many bands as the number of instruments he plays. The music teacher at Rock Bottom Music plays the violin, guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass guitar and drums and has recently started playing the pedal steel guitar. He currently performs with The Shaun Piazza Band, Joe Graves and the Dirty Left Hand, The Decrepits and Doug and the Henrys, in which his father plays guitar.

Henry Wynn III works as a music teacher at Rock Bottom Music. He plays many instruments but says the fiddle is his favorite.

Though Mr. Wynn can play many instruments, he says his favorite is the fiddle.

"I just like the style of it. I'm into a lot of bluegrass lately," he said.

Mr. Wynn, who began playing violin at age 5, credits a lot of his musical talent and influences to his parents, Renee and Henry Jr.

"I would have quit violin probably at eight if it weren't for my mom." Mr. Wynn said. "She took a lot of time and money to keep me in it."

Years later, his mom also decided to learn violin, and for about seven years the two were members of the Augusta State University Orchestra.

Mr. Wynn says his father, who as a teenager was in a band with Steve Morse of Deep Purple fame, is a reason for his interest in guitar. But a concert in 1984 at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center also helped boost his attraction to the guitar and drums.

"My dad took me to see Van Halen at the Civic Center, and watching Eddie Van Halen play guitar and Alex Van Halen on drums - that was it!"
