AUGUSTA - Toni and Bruce J. VanTassel of Martinez are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Megan Nicole, born September 20, 2007 at University Hospital in Augusta.

She made her debut at 6:54 p.m., weighed 7 lbs. and was 20 1/4 inches long. Proud grandparents are Johnny and Carol Carteret of Appling, Bruce R. and Alina VanTassel of Miami, Fla. She was welcomed home by big brother, Anthony.
