- To raise money for burn victims, the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation has recycling sites for aluminum cans at the Kmart Shopping Center in North Augusta, the Belvedere Fire Department on U.S. Highway 25, Langley Fire Department on South Carolina Highway 421, and Aiken Department of Public Safety Stations No. 2 on Silver Bluff Road and No. 3 on U.S. Highway 78.

- CMC North Augusta, 1119 Atomic Road, North Augusta, 279-0161, takes scrap metal and nonferrous metals.

- City of North Augusta Recycling Center, 101 Clay Pit Road, North Augusta, takes newspaper, cardboard, plastic soda bottles and milk jugs, glass, aluminum, steel and tin cans.

- Augusta-North Augusta Regional Material Recovery Facility, 101 Clay Pit Road, North Augusta, 441-4242; 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, takes cardboard, newspapers, magazines, No. 1 plastic (drink bottles), natural No. 2 plastic (milk jugs), steel and aluminum food and beverage containers, glass food and beverage containers.
