WHAT DO YOU DO? The mission of Systematic Organizing Solutions is to help our clients enhance and enrich their lives by saving them time and money as we confidentially and systematically organize their homes and offices. Through our home-staging services, we creatively set the stage for potential home buyers to visualize themselves in the seller's home. This helps the seller and their Realtor sell the house faster and for a price that is equivalent to the asking price or possibly more.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO THIS BUSINESS? I have a master's degree in public health and have always advocated for the public's mental, physical and social health. Living in a cluttered environment can have negative effects on your mental, physical and social health by causing stress and depression. I've always been pretty organized and have decided to share that gift with those who live disorganized lives at home or at work.

STRANGEST CLIENT/INCIDENT: No experience with a strange client at this point.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT THE BUSINESS? I really enjoy helping people rid their lives of the stress caused by clutter. My clients go from having feelings of frustration and being overwhelmed with the clutter to feeling free and more in control of their lives. I like facilitating that. I also enjoy helping people sell their homes more quickly.

WHAT DON'T YOU LIKE ABOUT THE BUSINESS? At this point there is nothing I don't like about this business. I enjoy every aspect of it.

WHY DOES YOUR BUSINESS STAND OUT? I am passionate about what I do to help others get organized. Throughout the process I actually befriend my clients and get to know them on a personal level to find out their unique needs and desires for the room/office we are organizing. I want to ensure that the system we implement for them is one that they will be able to use for years to come to keep them organized.

ORGANIZATIONS/EVENTS INVOLVED IN: Leadership Augusta Class of 2007, Junior Executive Board of the Salvation Army of Augusta, member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, and member of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOUR BUSINESS IN 5 YEARS/10 YEARS?: I envision SOS as a company that employs men and women and trains them to be professional organizers who work for SOS to organize homes and offices all over the CSRA.

MOST IMPORTANT BUSINESS PRINCIPLE: I look for clients everywhere I go. Even at the gas station, if I see someone with a cluttered car, I will give them my business card.

BIGGEST CHALLENGE IN THE BUSINESS: Getting clients to part with some of the items that keep their homes or offices cluttered. Sometimes clients don't want to get rid of things because they say "I might need it one day" - even if they haven't used it in years.

YOUR BEST BUSINESS ADVICE:When you are first starting out, you will probably spend at least 60 hours per week growing and nurturing your business so make sure it's something that you are passionate about and enjoy doing.

ROLE MODELS/INSPIRATIONS: Dr. Shelia McClure - my biology professor from Spelman College, who has always had faith in my abilities and showed me that the sky is the limit for me.
