BLUFFTON, S.C. - Robert "Bob" James Hoyer, 60, died Friday, September 21, 2007 in the Palm Meadows Court, Hilton Head Island, S.C. He was born in Eauclaire, Wisconsin on October 10, 1946. He was the son of the late Grant J. and Virginia Stortz Hoyer. He was retired from Southern Cross Corporation of Atlanta, Ga. He was a Catholic. He was U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Veteran and a member of Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Janice H. Hoyer of Bluffton, S.C.; stepsons, Robert W. Peer, Jr. of Yanceyville, N.C., R. Wade Peer and Randy (Annette) Peer, both of Ridgeley, W.Va.; one brother, Glen A. Hoyer of Bristow, Va.; two sisters, Sandra H. Rushton of Walterboro, S.C. and Mary H. (Eugene) Grimaud of Beech Island, S.C.; four brothers-in-law, Richard (Carole) Hedrick, Donald Hedrick, Buck (Paula) Hedrick, and Carl Hedrick, all of Cumberland, Md.; three sisters-in-law, Pat (Don) Helmick of Hyndman, Pa., Martha (Rob) Lowman of Cumberland, Md., and Linda Alt of Fort Ashby, W.Va.; five step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, S.C.
