Fix it: Sussex Drive near Sheffield Circle

WHAT'S THE PROBLEM? Several tipsters have complained about a large pothole in the middle of Sussex Drive near Sheffield Circle in the Brynwood neighborhood. One caller said it was difficult to avoid because cars often park on both sides of the street.

WHO'S RESPONSIBLE? The Maintenance Division of Augusta Public Services handles road resurfacing on all county roads. Their office number is (706) 790-7062.

WHAT'S BEING DONE? Gloria Coats, a dispatcher for Public Services, said the patch of road has been put on a schedule to be cut out and then filled with asphalt.

Ask Don Grantham to fix it as he got his sister's road resurfaced years ago and it was the only street in Brynwood to have any improvements made to!

This thing has already been patched a couple times. The hole just keeps coming back.

There's one of these in front

There's one of these in front of our house as well, in a neighborhood not too far away. The problem usually is with underground springs that crumble the road from underneath when there's lots of heavy rain. Our's is more than a foot deep now.
