EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mrs. Broadus Youngblood Lamb, widow of the late John P. Lamb, went to her heavenly home Sunday, September 16, 2007. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Eastview Cemetery. Mrs. Lamb was born in Edgefield County on August 24, 1910 to Hampton and Ellie Youngblood. She was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church and a member of the Edgefield Hospital Auxiliary. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Ruby and husband Bill Blackledge, Edgefield; two sons, B.P. (Pat) and wife Delma Lamb, Greenwood, James and wife Carolyn Lamb, Columbia; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 15 great- great-grandchildren; a faithful friend, Annibelle Carter and family. Memorials may be made to Edgefield First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 624, Edgefield, S.C. 29824. The family wishes to express deepest thanks to the staff at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab for their compassion and love to Mrs. Lamb during her stay, particularly the "Magnolia Wing." The family is at the home of Ruby and Bill Blackledge on Bausket St. and will receive friends after the service at the cemetery. Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
