GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Gerald Lee Hutto, Sr., 69, entered into rest Saturday, September 15th. Mr. Hutto is survived by his wife, Ann Glover Hutto; children, Gerald L. Hutto, Jr., Willie F. (Missy) Hutto, and Iva J. (Doyle) Pinion; stepchildren, Bonnie Glover, Samantha Shelton, Beth Todd, George Shelton, Thomas R. (Melodie) Sharpe, and Shirley D. Spires; 8 grandchildren; 2 step great great grandchildren; sisters, Elsie Lucas and Jean (Archie) Gartman; brother, Victor "Pete" L. Hutto; and nephew, Donnie Yon. He is predeceased by his parents, Earl Melvin and Gladys Neomi Lucas Hutto; and sister, Genieve Cooper. Mr. Hutto was born in Lexington County. He was previously a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Mr. Hutto was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army and a Veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Marines. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, S.C. (803) 564-5333. The funeral service will be Thursday, September 20th at 2:00 p.m. also in the Chapel with the Rev. Frank Thigpen officiating. Burial will be in the Salley Oak View Cemetery with military honors.
