LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Roger Wayne Mathis Jr., 36, beloved husband of Sandy P. Mathis, and the son of Wayne and Martha Mathis, entered into rest Monday, September 3, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Providence Baptist Church in Grange, Ga., with Rev. Danny Hedgepath and Bill Smith officiating. Mr. Mathis will lie in state 1 hour before services. Burial will be at Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, September 4, 2007 at the funeral home. Mr. Mathis was a member of Providence Baptist Church and a truck driver for Howard Sheppard where they knew him as a Rib eye on CB hander. His beloved family includes a daughter, Kinslee Cleo Mathis; a son, Remington Lee Mathis; a sister, Kim (Terrell) McMillan; maternal grandmother, Jewell Smith; brother-in-law and beloved friend, Jeff (Melissa) Partridge. Pallbearers will be Charles Lawson, Algie Snider, Steve Sipper, Reggie Morgan, Daniel Snider, Darin Rowland. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John Blumer, Dr. Chris Sheppard, Dr. Donald Loebl, Mitchell McGraw, Dana Blocker, Carl Wagster.
