W. 'Bubba' Bennett (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, August 19, 2007 at his residence, Mr. George W. (Bubba) Bennett of Sandalwood Drive, husband of the late Elease Bennett. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from Mount Enon Baptist Church with Pastor John Harmon and Reverend Reginald Jones officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. **The remains will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. The procession will leave the residence at 9:50 a.m. **At the request of the deceased, no flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Enon Baptist Church, 4678 Washington Road, Evans, Georgia 30809. Mr. Bennett was a Master Barber and a Civil Service Retiree. He was a member of Mount Enon Baptist Church. Survivors are two daughters, Evelyn (Melvin) Wright, Augusta and Vicky (Joseph) Burns, Snellville, Ga.; four sons, Gelester Bennett and Emory (Vernestine) Bennett, both of Augusta, Wayne (Linda) Bennett, Martinez, Ga. and Steven Bennett, Marietta, Ga.; thirteen grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
