Shouts GLORY TO GOD, To God be the Glory, I lift him up, and give him all the praise and honor for this he has done on behalf of my family. It's sad however that lives are lost by way of death or jail, but justice has been served.

A former Air Force intelligence airman might not have pulled the trigger, but he was just as responsible for the slaying of an Augusta man, a jury determined Thursday.
The Richmond County Superior Court jury convicted Said Mutazz, 26, of murder and weapon charges for the Oct. 9, 2005, slaying of Dontavious Wyman.
The killing of the 24-year-old Mr. Wyman was an execution, Assistant District Attorney Jeff Johnston said in closing arguments.
After he dropped his chosen assassin nearby, Mr. Mutazz drove the victim to a dark inner-city street flanked by abandoned homes, Mr. Johnston said. There, Walter Geter stepped out with a Tec 9 and fired at least 17 rounds at Mr. Wyman, Mr. Johnston said. Several shots were fired into Mr. Wyman's face as he lay on the ground.
Defense attorney Pete Theodocion argued to the jury in closing that Mr. Mutazz had no reason to want Mr. Wyman dead. It was Mr. Geter - who has pleaded innocent and will stand trial separately - who was angry with Mr. Wyman and considered him a rival in the drug trade, Mr. Theodocion said.
Mr. Mutazz was stationed at Fort Gordon at the time of killing. He ended up with Mr. Wyman on Dunns Lane because he wanted to buy a little marijuana, Mr. Theodocion said.
But, Mr. Johnston countered, if Mr. Mutazz wasn't involved in the slaying, how did he happen to drive Mr. Wyman to the exact spot where Mr. Geter lay in wait?
And if he were innocent, why did Mr. Mutazz go out for drinks and play pool with Mr. Geter in a downtown Augusta bar after the slaying, Mr. Johnston questioned.
Mr. Mutazz faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison plus five years.

I think think both was equally guilty, however the victim was in noway a saint. When you are in the crime business, these are the risks that you take.
who cares if the victim was a saint or not. that doesn't make it right to go around and kill people!!! wake up, amazed! who are you to judge??
Murder is wrong no matter the personality of the victim. And although the victim made have made some poor lifestyle/friend choices - he has a family left to grieve for him and they have to live with the fact their loved one was murdered. To Amazed: you should think about the pain your comments may be inflicting on family members.
jackfruitpaper833, we don't want to read your praise. This is for comments about the articles. It is here for opinions...not to go to church, that's Sunday. BTW, if you were referring to God when you stated you lift "him" up, He's always referred to with a "CAPITAL" letter...God, Him, He.
Its very evident that some people don't have HIM in included in daily life as needed. God is not just for Sundays, and its the mindset like this that makes many not ever understand the true meaning and understanding of Jesus' purpose in the first place. He is the reason for all blessings and there's space for HIM in everything. I am not to comment on the outcome of this case, as I choose to be one that doesn't judge. But, I do pray that if he is guilty, he repents and has learned from it. May God continue to bless us all. Please understand that HE is the reason for good things and he doesn't make mistakes. No one could ever take My GOD out of any conversation, he has a part in it all. So, I stand behind jackfruitpaper833 and I say "Lift him up"!!! For, I am not ashamed of the God I serve.
If you think someone deserves to die over selling a little marijuana you deserve the same fate.I'm sure you do idiotic
things like drive while on your cell phone etc.
I didnt realize the world has come to "if you break the law you deserve to die attitude"
I think people with nasty comments about either party should keep to themselves. Everyone in this situation has family that is left to grieve. And nasty comments about the deceased or the defendants are not appreciated or needed. For the family of the victime..my condolences. BUt your family is not the only family affected by this event. I hope that you read this comment and know that GOD is not a GOD of revenge...that is this world's twisted selfishness and blasphemy of making themselves to be god. There is only one GOD and He is a GOD of love. Know that!!! Respect me and my family too.
Hear, hear, jayahni. Excellent response, I must say. And I hope that time and trust in God will heal the wounds of all of the victims of this bad event, particularly the families.
ppl do wrong..at the end of the day what goes around comes around. I feel for the victims family...I have been on that end..I have been a victim also....however, in this situation my family is a defendant. I do not applaud him being involved but I do recognize that my cousin did not pull that trigger and murder that man! Most of these comments are unecessary and all of u are being selfish and inconsiderate! my condolences to the victims family....my heart truely hurts for this. Condolences are also sent to MY FAMILY.....all love.
Yall need to give them all life without possible parloe, that was my cousin they killed and no matter what he did i know it wasnt so bad that they had to kill him and kill him the way they did.
I think that while no one deserves to be murdered but when you chose a certain lifestyle and a bad lifestyle you have to accept what comes with it. We all know that being a thug and selling drugs leads to one or two things: death or prison.
Congratulations to ADA Jeff Johnston, the RCSO, and the DA's office on a job well done!
Woudln't it be wonderful if all these creeps just kept killing each other! Glory be to God!!!
If more people had God in their lives, this killing would stop. I agree, God is for everyday, not just Sunday. If these people would have been reading their bible and going to church, they would of had no need for drugs.
It is very sad what happened. I attended high school with Said and would have never believed in a million years that he would be convicted of murder after all he has accomplished. It is very disturbing that young African Americans, especially our men are degrading themselves into a life of crime for nothing. This was a well educated man, who messed up his life for a bag of weed and to prove a point. I pray that we as a community can instill better values and teach our children to want more for themselves. How does a man work so hard to provide a good life for himself do something so stupid. It is very heartbreaking that such a good person would get caught up in someting so horrible.
that just don't make any sence to kill someone, because whats done is done and killing is not going to change anything.just put you behind bars for life just where you need to be my point is GROW UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is an unfortunate thing to happen. The young man who drove the car I have known since he was a baby. He never ever was involved in any criminal acts. He graduated from high school, and then joined the airforce with honors. I feel bad for the famiy lost, however I'm not sure if Siab really knew what was going on until it was to late. He had no reason to put his great career as an airforce airman on the line for such a crime. Buying weed usally does not lead to this. There are millions on people that by weed on an hourly bases. I only hope that the shooter comes clean and tell the truth. Please do not let Siiab take the fall for this. He had everything going for him in the airfroce. It appears that he trusted the wrong people at the wrong time. This is the type of guy that he is to trusting.
this is a very infortunate thing i as well have known siab for a very long time. he was a very loving person we grew up together i am sure this is a hugh mis understanding i think he was with the wrong people at the wrong time and it happens that way sometimes. he does not have a violant bone in his body. my prayers goes go out to his family. i can not believe this happen it is very impossiible for me to believe.
i remember the day said was born, he was naive. in the wrong place at the wrong time i know the shooter threatened to kill
said if he didnt take him where he wanted to go the beef was
not with said it was with the two neighborhood dealers perhaps
the shooter will come clean someday and tell the truth about
how he set said up
well evidently said wasn't the same person you all knew from birth i have seen him around an he was involved deeply in the drug game. Airman or not he was still invovled in drugs and murder.
i got to know tazz well during my time with him in the air force. he was a friendly and intelligent guy that liked to have fun but he was also a bigmouth and an almost pathological liar, and definitely not one to be trusted, which was also obvious to most around him. he wanted people to see him as a badass and a thug and i'm sure he told someone about the murder before or after it happened and the person who tazz told narc'd on him. for those who think he was naive, believe me, he was not. i wouldn't say he was cold-blooded but he did think he was above it all. this time, he just f'd up big time. good thing he had a lot of women while he was a free man. it's too bad cuz when he wasn't acting like he was full of [filtered word], he could be fun to be around. i'd be lying if i told you i didn't feel bad that he was convicted. but i have no doubt in my mind that he arranged the murder. i feel worse for his mom. she is a lovely lady that loves him very much and i guarantee you her heart and mind are in prison with tazz.
I would echo the comments of pecker1981. I knew Said from spending a year in class with him. I was his class leader for his military language studies. Said was possessed with very much natural talent but it wasn't enough for him. He constantly postured himself as something he wasn't from a threatening gangster type to an academic phenom who completed college by the time he was 19. His lies were constant. The truly sad thing about all of this is that I (and others) could see this coming. When his behavior began causing issues in class I tried in many different ways to discipline/reach him. I tried being his friend and I tried to scare him. Nothing seemed to work. As angry as I used to become at Said I'm saddened that things ended up like this. This was a foreseeable end based on the path he had chosen but with a little luck or maybe better leadership and mentorship from his superiors (myself included) he might have avoided this. I'm not a mental health professional but I would say that Said had serious issues. It's unfortunate that someone who could be so good could also be so bad.
Just another sad story of squandered potential.
When you get involved in illegal stuff, no matter what it is, you take terrible chances and can quickly get into stuff that you never intended to be involved in. Criminals aren't good, compassionate people.
