COLLEGE INTEREST: He's a talented two-sport athlete who has football on his mind in the fall before baseball takes over in the spring. His great ball skills and recognition ability have been noticed. He holds offers from Auburn, Georgia, Maryland and South Carolina. Commings picked off seven passes in 10 games last season. He moves to quarterback this fall.

HIS PRE-GAME RITUAL: "I like to get fully dressed and then put on my black eye strips before we go out," Commings said. "I will get in front of the mirror in my locker room with a white-out pen and then write my initials in white-out on the each black eye strip. One side of my face has my number and the other has my initials on it. I got the idea from (NFL standout) Reggie Bush."
