MPAA RATING: R
THE PLOT: A couple's car breaks down on a deserted road, and they find themselves stranded at a motel in the middle of nowhere. To pass the time, they watch what they think are snuff murder films left in the room. Soon, however, they realize that the films are really homemade - in the room they're staying in, a room that has hidden cameras everywhere.
MY THOUGHTS: The plot is a little hard to believe at times, and the ending's a bit of a letdown, but overall, it is pretty terrifying.

'the simpsons movie'
RELEASED: July 27
MPAA RATING: PG-13
MY THOUGHTS: This movie is essentially a longer version of the television show. While it is entertaining, it retains its television format. It has the classic Simpsons shtick in about half the movie, but the rest is simply filler, which causes some problems as the plot drags along until the next joke or slapstick stunt.
THE VERDICT: This is a movie that every Simpsons fan should see, but it's nothing new. The writers did a good job making it interesting rather than preachy. A very good rental or movie to watch at the budget theater.
