TOWNSEND, Ga. - Mr. James Lloyd "Jimmy" Jenkins, age 67, beloved husband of Carolyn Morgan Jenkins entered into rest at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Augusta on August 10, 2007 after a brief illness. Mr. Jenkins was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Alexander GA, a Board member of Sapelo Fish Club, Friends of Shellman Bluff, and also a member of Coastal Consurvary. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Friends and loved ones will fondly remember Mr. Jenkins as "Super Star". Funeral Services will be held on Monday afternoon at 4:00 PM in Alexander, GA at the Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev Wayne Dixon and the Rev Marshall Singletary officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Mr. Jenkins was survived by his wife, Carolyn Morgan Jenkins of Townsend GA; son, Michael Keith "Kip" (wife Lynn) Jenkins of Alexander, GA; and; three daughters Cathy (husband Troy) Allen of Martinez, GA; JaLaine (husband Michael) Coleman, and Stacy Gene Whitehurst both of Vidalia, GA; Surviving brothers include Johnny (wife Sara) Jenkins; Gene (wife Nancy) Jenkins, Sr. Jerry (wife Linda) Jenkins; and also Greg (wife Susan) Coursey; one sister Cathy (husband Duane) McAffee all of Waynesboro, GA; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr., Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents Mallory and Sadie W. Jenkins. The family will receive friends at the Robertson's Heritage Chapel in Waynesboro on Sunday August 12, 2007 from 7-9 P.M. Pallbearers will be Gene Jenkins Jr., Chad Jenkins, Steve Jenkins, Brad Jenkins, Brett Baxley, James Hollinsworth, Jody Prescott, William McNeely. Mr. Jenkins will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Hillis, Glen Sikes, Jimmy Miller, Jutt Wynne, Jimmy Allen, Toby Lovett, Randy Dixon, Gerald Dixon, and Cale Odum, Sapelo Fish Club, and Friends of Shellman Bluff Arrangements by Robertson's Heritage Chapel, 220 E Sixth Street, Waynesboro, GA 30830 706-437-0000
