EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Frances Kendrick Poss Sease, 84, wife of the late Harold Sease, entered into rest on July 25, 2007. Funeral services will be held, at 2:00 pm, on Sunday, July 29, 2007, in the Platt's Funeral Home Belair Road Chapel with Reverend Jerry Pitman officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, GA. Mrs. Sease was born June 9, 1923, in Greene County Georgia, to Gertrude Marchman Kendrick and Thomas Jefferson Kendrick, Sr. She had lived most of her life, in the Augusta area, but did live in Barnwell, SC from 1967 to 1995. She was a member of Curtis Baptist Church. She had worked for more than 20 years, in the dry cleaning business and worked hard, at what ever she attempted. She raised 2 daughters, with the help of her mother, known by all as "Big Mama". She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Frances P. Cox, mother, Gertrude K. Hutto, father, Thomas J. Kendrick, Sr., two brothers, James and Albert Kendrick and a sister, Betty J. Denton. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Poss Newman and husband, Ralph, of Grovetown, granddaughters, Debra N. Steele, of Evans and Patricia T. Cox Wasson, of Matthews, GA, great grandson, Avery Steele, great granddaughters, Abbey Steele, Brittany and Courtney Taylor, step-granddaughters, Julie Barden and Laura Northcraft, 5 step-great grandchildren, 8 nephews and 2 nieces. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Kendrick, Steve Kendrick, Jerry Kendrick, Al Newby, Don Sherrod and Rance Scott. The family received friends on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Platt's Belair Road, from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm. The family wishes to express a special, "Thank You", to Dr. Paul Fischer.
