Click here to view the Braves five best and five worst trades since the move to Atlanta in 1966.
Speculation abounds throughout Major League Baseball as teams gear up for Tuesday's trade deadline.
Will the Atlanta Braves pull off a blockbuster deal and ship off all-star center fielder Andruw Jones, in the final year of his contract? Will they deal promising rookie catcher/first baseman Jarrod Saltalamacchia for a solid starting pitcher or another relief pitcher? Will the Braves go after a power-hitting first baseman like Texas slugger Mark Teixiera?
Since their move to Atlanta in 1966, the Braves have had their fair share of great trades and horrible deals.
In July 1993, Atlanta sent three no-name players to San Diego for standout first baseman Fred McGriff. Fantastic trade.
In August 1983, the Braves gave away popular center fielder Brett Butler and two others to Cleveland for no-hitter wonder Len Barker. Ugh!
