CHERAW, S.C. - Elizabeth Harris Covington, 103, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007. Born in Sandersville, Ga. September 30, 1903, she was a daughter of the late William Walker and Fannie Bell Jordon Harris. She was the widow of Dixon Covington. She was the organist for First Presbyterian Church, Cheraw, S.C. from 1932 to 1947 and organist for First Baptist Church, Cheraw, S.C. for almost 20 years. She taught music in the public schools and privately for many years. Surviving are her sister, Wiley Davis of Clinton, S.C.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; also, five sisters. A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2007 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, S.C.
