SAVANNAH, Ga. - Mr. William Brooks, formerly of East Hall Street, of Savannah, son of the late Minnie Mackey and James Brooks, entered into rest Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Savannah. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 2, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. E.T. Martin officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park. Survivors are his stepdaughter, Sadie M. Wright, Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Jake (Dorothy) Mackey; step-son-in-law, Joseph McKinney; nieces, Diane Brooks and Alberta Graham; nephews, Charles Brooks, Sonny Brooks, Bill Brooks, Curtis Brooks, Harris Wilcox and Lenny Mackey; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
